From Meet the Filmmaker events to high definition opera performances showcased on the big screen and everything in-between, Enzian provides the community with a wide range of specialty programs throughout the year.
Enzian’s Opera on Film Summer Series
Enzian is proud to feature the best in filmed high definition Opera from around the globe and showcased on the big screen in digital cinema exclusively in Central Florida. The 2010 summer season lineup features Operas performed at the world’s most prestigious venues including La Scala (CARMEN, SIMON BOCCANEGRA and LA TRAVIATA), Teatro Comunale di Bologna (I PURITANI), and the Bregenz Festival (AIDA). This year will feature productions starring Opera’s most internationally recognized and renowned performers including Placido Domingo (SIMON BOCCANEGRA) and Juan Diego Florez (I PURITANI). All screenings begin at 12PM (noon) and the season commences with Bizet’s crowd pleasing CARMEN on Saturday, July 3, and closes with a spectacular production of Verdi’s AIDA, filmed outdoors on a floating stage, on Saturday, September 4.
