Boy Culture

"A hip, funny romance, full of attitude!"—Gary Kramer, GAY CITY NEWS

BOY CULTURE is the candid confession of "X", a wildly successful male escort. After ten years of sex-for-pay, "X" gets romantically entangled with his two hot roommates and a reclusive elderly client, Gregory. But before Gregory will agree to sex, he tells an unsetting love story spanning fifty years and dares "X" to try something he hasn't felt for years: emotion. Based on the critically-acclaimed novel by Matthew Rettenmund, BOY CULTURE takes on issues of sexual mores and emotional risk with a witty and incisive voice, revealing the leap of faith that love demands.

For the Bible Tells Me So

"Powerful…a brave and noble effort to heal a gaping wound in our society."—Andrew O’Hehir, SALON.COM

Through the experiences of five very normal, very Christian, very American families -- including those of former House Majority Leader Richard Gephardt and Episcopalian Bishop Gene Robinson -- we discover how insightful people of faith handle the realization of having a gay child. Informed by such respected voices as Bishop Desmond Tutu, Harvard's Peter Gomes, Orthodox Rabbi Steve Greenberg and Reverend Jimmy Creech, FOR THE BIBLE TELLS ME SO offers healing, clarity and understanding to anyone caught in the crosshairs of scripture and sexual identity.

The Gymnast

"How refreshing to discover a film about a mature woman at a crossroads in her life. THE GYMNAST is fresh and vibrant, acted with conviction by a talented ensemble."—Leonard Maltin

Jane Hawkins (Dreya Weber) was once one of America’s top gymnasts, but events and injury prevented her from fulfilling her Olympic destiny. Almost twenty years have passed in obscurity, working hand to mouth as a massage therapist while slowly disappearing in a passionless marriage. In an attempt to give meaning to her life, she has been secretly trying to get pregnant, against her husband David’s wishes. Though still in peak condition, her doctor informs her that she may have waited too long to have children. And without David’s money, she can’t afford the fertility drugs that might make the difference. A chance meeting with Denise, a former gymnastic teammate, provokes Jane to reexamine her life and past. While visiting a gymnasium, she is recognized by a coach, who recruits Jane for a completely different kind of venture: being part of a Cirque Du Soleil type of aerial act. Also recruited to be part of the act is an enigmatic dancer named Serena. When events force the coach out of the project, Jane and Serena attempt to put the act together themselves, and in the process, fall in love. After Denise convinces her the affair with Serena is a form of denial, Jane must choose between having a child with her suddenly willing husband, or creating a completely new life for herself.

Outing Riley

"Intelligent, nicely paced script sports lots of crowd-pleasing zingers."—VARIETY

Bobby Riley (Pete Jones) is just a regular guy who loves his family, his beer, and the Chicago Cubs. Oh yeah, and his boyfriend. A uniquely enjoyable comedy for all audiences, this charming ensemble film looks at what happens when Bobby finally tells his Irish-Catholic brothers (one of whom is a priest) that he's gay. And, they think he's joking!
