Adapting the children’s game known as “grapevine” or “telephone”, this experimental work is a mutation/deformation/liberation of a cynically patriotic Tommy Hilfiger commercial. The spot was given to a writer who wrote a script from it that was then given to a filmmaker who made a film of that script which was then passed to another writer and so on and so forth. This was done five times over two years—One Nation Under Tommy is the result.

John is a regular at Shay’s lounge. He shoots pool for drink-money and usually wins. Ivan Gorsky is an old world vampire with new world problems. When these two meet, stories are told and bets are made. The real wager, however, arrives long after the sinking of the 8-ball.

Filthy
Written/Co-produced/Co-directed by Andy Lalino, Co-produced/Co-directed by John Karliss, 30 min, BetaSP

When ambitious news reporter Dana Diamond searches for the ultimate story, she gets more than she bargained for. On a riot-torn Halloween night, she is lured into an old, decrepit house where she endures the most brutal and unspeakable ordeal imaginable. *Warning—despite the screening time, this film is definitely prime Midnight Movie material in the tradition of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and the works of Herschell Gordon Lewis. It contains scenes of sadistic violence and sick behavior that may be considered shocking. Viewer discretion is advised.
