WHAT’S THE FLORIDA FILM OF YOUR FANTASIES?
The Florida Film Festival Wants Your Photo and Title

Orlando, FL – (Feb. 2, 2010) – The 20th annual Florida Film Festival, sponsored by Full Sail University,  announces a special community program asking online users to submit an original film title and personal photo that best captures the Florida film of their fantasies. Participants can submit online at http://www.FloridaFilmFestival.com.

Residents and visitors can agree the state of Florida is a place of phenomenal beauty and profound peculiarity.  The community is asked to contemplate their personal experiences with the Sunshine State and have their submissions reflect their deeply held and cherished vision of Florida.

Online submissions are now open and users’ materials will be compiled with selected submissions published in the Florida Film Festival’s official printed programs as well as FloridaFilmFestival.com.

“Florida’s stranger-than-fiction lore and unique environment have captured the imaginations of filmmakers for decades,” said Florida Film Festival President Henry Maldonado.  “We’re excited to engage our Festival friends, volunteers, sponsors and movie-goers to get out their cameras, paint brushes, or digital media tools to create an image that best depicts the Florida film of their fantasies.”

“With our campus located in Winter Park, Full Sail University is proud to provide our students with the opportunity to explore, document and create in the multifaceted landscape that Florida offers,” said Rick Ramsey, Director of Visual Arts. “As primary sponsor of the Florida Film Festival, we look forward to this outreach initiative as yet another example of the interactive components that the festival brings to the community, as well as our students.”

The 20h annual Florida Film Festival will take place April 8 through April 17, 2011.  Ticket packages, which include built-in discounts, exclusive party tickets, and a complimentary official printed program, are now on sale and can be purchased online.  The Festival’s film lineup will be announced in March.
