STUDENT AND LOCAL FILMMAKERS ANNOUNCED AS BROUHAHA FILM SHOWCASE FINALISTS
Works From Florida High Schools and
Colleges to be Featured on the Big Screen
Orlando, FL - (Nov. 25, 2009) – ENZIAN announced today the short film line-up for the 18th Annual Brouhaha Film and Video Showcase, held at Enzian on December 5 and 6, 2009 at 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Several accepted films are works by student filmmakers from state-wide high schools and colleges including three from Dr. Phillips High School, three from Full Sail University, eight from Florida State University, 13 from Ringling College of Art + Design and six from the University of Central Florida.
Now in its 18th year, Enzian’s Brouhaha Film and Video Showcase is the premier outlet for Florida produced films and videos featuring the best work from film schools statewide and monthly FilmSlam winners. Winners from this year’s Brouhaha will be selected by a three-member jury and will go on to be featured in a “Best of Brouhaha” program in the 2010 Florida Film Festival. Jury members are Sheena Carlisle, Technology and Entertainment Coordinator, Metro Orlando Film Commission; Rave Mehta, CEO, Helios Entertainment; and Justin Strout, Film Editor, Orlando Weekly.
The 48 selected films will be screened in four different programs over two days. Each program is $5 and tickets can be purchased online at Enzian.org, at the Enzian Box Office, or by calling (407) 629-1088, touch zero.
