Orlando, FL – (Mar. 9, 2011) – Enzian announced the official lineup of films for the 20th annual Florida Film Festival, sponsored by Full Sail University, that will feature premieres, special guest attended presentations, new and unique categories, and other special programs. This year’s lineup features more than 160 films from 25 countries with 43 female directors.

Project Nim, the provocative new documentary from Academy Award®-winning filmmaker, James Marsh (Man on Wire), will serve as the Festival’s Opening Night Film on April 8 at 7PM. “The incredible scope of cinematic expression in this year’s Festival is found not simply in terms of the volume of submissions or its demographics but in the variety of types of filmmakers and the issues they explore,” said Matthew Curtis, Florida Film Festival Programming Director. “This year we are screening films that embody risk-taking, diversity, and aesthetic innovation, and we are hopeful that audiences will find them as engaging and entertaining as we did.”
“Filmmakers not only use the camera lens to share their unique vision with the audience, but more often then not, they give a voice to powerful and moving stories,” said Rick Ramsey, Full Sail University’s Director of Visual Arts. “We are proud to celebrate with our alumni whose film, This Narrow Place, was selected to showcase in the American Independent Narrative Competition this year, and we look forward to all of the films that will be shared during the Festival.”
