FLORIDA FILM FESTIVAL ANNOUNCES
FEATURE FILMS IN COMPETITION

Three Second U.S. Showings and Nine East Coast Premieres to Debut

Orlando, FL – (Mar. 3, 2010) – ENZIAN announced today the line-up of films selected for the Documentary and Narrative Feature Film categories of the American Independent Competition for the 19th Annual Florida Film Festival, sponsored by Full Sail University. Three second U.S. screenings and nine East Coast premieres were selected, with 11 filmmakers making their feature directorial debuts and eight female directors represented among the 10 narrative films and 10 documentaries.

The Festival will take place April 9 through 18.

“The scope of cinematic expression in this year’s Festival is found not simply in terms of the volume of submissions or its demographics but in the variety of types of filmmakers and the issues they explore,” said Matthew Curtis, Florida Film Festival Programming Director. “This year we are screening films that embody risk-taking, diversity, and aesthetic innovation, and we are hopeful that audiences will find them as engaging and entertaining as we did.”

The 20 films will be eligible for up to three awards each; a Grand Jury award for best film in that category, a Special Jury award given at the jury’s discretion for exceptional achievements, and an Audience award sponsored by NESTLÉ RAISINETS® and determined by audience votes.

The 2010 film program and schedule will be available online March 11 at www.FloridaFilmFestival.com.
