ENZIAN TO APPLY ARTS MATTER GRANT FUNDS TO NEW OUTDOOR SCREEN
Theater Continues Free Movie Showcases

Orlando, Fla. - (June 29, 2011) –
Enzian, the recent winning recipient of the United Arts of Central Florida Arts Matter grant contest, announced funds will be applied toward the purchase of a new outdoor screen.  The non-profit plans to expand its free community offerings with the new equipment, and additional support for its purchase will be provided by Rachel Grogan, an individual donor.

“Through the community’s support, we were able to fulfill an item that has been on our wish list for a while,” said Enzian president Henry Maldonado.  “The outdoor screen is a gift all of our patrons can enjoy, and we hope it will serve as a beacon that connects friends and neighbors through great film.”

The theater’s existing free community offerings include its weekly Wednesday Night Pitcher Show screenings, as well as monthly Popcorn Flicks in the Park series, a City of Winter Park sponsored event now in its 10th year.

Enzian is Central Florida’s only full-time, not-for-profit cinema for first-run independent and international film, classic revivals, documentary features, and select family entertainment. Enzian, a member-supported organization serving the community for over 26 years, is home to the Florida Film Festival which attracts more than 21,000 guests annually, and the Eden Bar.  For additional information, visit Enzian.org or call general information at (407) 629-1088.
