ENZIAN REVEALS LINEUP FOR
20TH ANNUAL BROUHAHA SHOWCASE

Discover Florida’s Rising Filmmaker Stars.
New this Year, Audience Selects Favorite and Catapults Winner
into Florida Film Festival

Orlando, FL - (Nov. 10, 2011) – Florida filmmakers take center stage at Enzian’s 20th Annual Brouhaha Film and Video Showcase sponsored by Full Sail University.  Enzian released the diverse lineup of 48 films today; a smorgasbord of contrasting styles featuring experimental cinema, fiction narratives, documentaries, music videos and animation presented in four 90-minute programs.  From a heartwarming yet troubling story of therapeutic horseback riding to an expose on the largest manmade environmental disaster in history to a camp musical thriller co-starring Fred Schneider of the B-52’s, there’s something for everyone!  New this year, the audience gets in on the act by awarding a favorite an automatic spot in the prestigious Florida Film Festival. The juried statewide film competition, slated for Nov. 19 and 20, 2011, is FREE for Enzian Film Society members and only $5 per program for general admission.

This year’s event recognizes nine FilmSlam winners along with accepted works from statewide high schools and colleges including Dr. Phillips High School, Full Sail University, Rollins College, University of Central Florida, Florida State University, Ringling College of Art and Design, Flagler College and Southeast Center for Photographic Studies at Daytona State/UCF.  A distinguished, three-member jury selects winners for a “Best of Brouhaha” program highlighted at the prestigious Florida Film Festival this April 13-22, 2012. The jury is comprised of Roger Moore, Orlando Sentinel Movie Critic, Robin Wright, Women in Film and Television, and Sylvia Caminer, Filmmaker and Producer.

Brouhaha provides a unique festival experience and the chance to mingle with local filmmakers in the ambiance of Enzian.  The celebration of cinema continues daily after each program with lively discussions at Eden Bar. Lunch is now served daily and happy hour specials feature half-priced select appetizers and specialty cocktails. In honor of Membership Month in November, Enzian hosts a special reception for members on Saturday, Nov. 19 from 3-4 p.m. with free cocoa, cider and treats.  RSVP at (JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) or sign up for membership at Enzian.org/membership.
