Enzian CELEBRATES WITH “THE MOST ROMANTIC MOVIE EVER MADE”
A Valentine’s Day Casablanca Themed Brunch
Celebrates 25th Anniversary
Orlando, FL - (Jan. 20, 2010) – Enzian launches its year-long 25th anniversary celebration on Valentine’s Day with the afternoon brunch and movie showcase, Here’s Looking at You Kid: A Casablanca Valentine’s Brunch, on Sunday, February 14 at 10:30 a.m.
Attendees will be swept away as sweethearts and Enzian supporters are greeted with mimosas before they indulge in an elegant brunch buffet – all while a pianist belts out the hit song, “As Time Goes By”. Event-goers will then experience the screening of cinema romance classic, Casablanca – winner of three Academy Awards for Best Picture, Best Director (Michael Curtiz) and Best Screenplay.
“This wonderful fundraising event honors our 25-year history Enzian style – with film, food, friends and the most romantic movie ever made,” said Enzian President Henry Maldonado. “Enzian’s actual birthday is February 15, 1985 so it was natural to kick-start its anniversary with a Valentine’s celebration for lovers, film lovers, and Enzian lovers alike.”
Table for Two Packages are $125 per couple with a special $100 price for Enzian Film Society members at the contributing and above levels. Friends of Enzian Packages are available for $250 per couple and include priority seating, a complimentary bottle of champagne, a DVD copy of Casablanca, and a tax-deductible donation to Enzian. To purchase a package or for more information on how to become a member, visit Enzian.org.
This event kicks off the year-long anniversary film series, 10 Movies You Should See on the Big Screen Before You Die, a showcase that empowers the community to vote which film will play each month. To cast a vote, visit Enzian.org or Enzian’s lobby.
Enzian is Central Florida’s only full-time, not-for-profit cinema for first-run independent and international film, classic revivals, documentary features, and select family entertainment. Enzian, a member-supported organization serving the community for 25 years, is home to the Florida Film Festival which attracts more than 25,000 guests annually, and the Eden Bar.
