Enzian Announces Henry Maldonado as Governing Board Member

Orlando, FL – (May 21, 2009) – Sigrid Tiedtke, President of Enzian and the Florida Film Festival,
announced today that the Organization has named Henry Maldonado its newest Governing Board
Member. He will begin his new role on June 9.
Maldonado, the recently retired vice president and general manager of the CBS affiliate WKMG
LOCAL 6, has held a seat on Enzian’s Advisory Council Board and has contributed extensively to
the creative and strategic planning of the Florida Film Festival.
“Henry’s passion and dedication to the support of the arts and cultural community in Central
Florida, specifically independent cinema and filmmaking, is inspiring,” said Tiedtke. “We are
thrilled to tap the expertise of not only a business partner for several years, but also a genuine
friend.”
During Maldonado’s eight years at Channel 6, he focused the station on investigative reporting,
and developed the PROBLEM SOLVERS unit. Maldonado has been a documentary film producer
for PBS; Executive Producer for both NBC and CBS stations in New York; and has been with
Post Newsweek Stations, a division of the Washington Post for over 25 years. He is a three-time
Emmy winner and was recently named one of the top 25 Hispanics in Central Florida.
Maldonado holds a Bachelors of Fine Arts degree from Boston University’s film program.
Enzian Theater is Central Florida’s only full-time, not-for-profit cinema for first-run independent
and international film, classic revivals, documentary features, and select family entertainment.
Enzian, a member-supported organization serving the community for more than 24 years, is
home to the Florida Film Festival which attracts more than 25,000 guests annually, and the Eden
